FAQs
Im am confused, are you an architecture firm or a design agency?
We are a multidisciplinary firm, uniquely positioned at the intersection of architecture and design innovation. While our Architecture Department, powered by Vincent R. Lemma Architect PLLC, stands as a distinguished boutique architecture firm on Long Island, our expertise extends far beyond traditional architectural boundaries. Our passion for design has led us into diverse industries, including visualization and branding. Through visualization, we offer support not only to architecture clients but also to developers, real estate professionals, and fellow architects. In branding, our design prowess translates into web design, logo creation, and comprehensive marketing solutions for small businesses. By housing multiple disciplines under one roof, we foster collaboration and ensure seamless integration, enabling us to deliver exceptional results across all our endeavors.
If we are planning a construction project, what's the first thing we should do?
Prioritizing a comprehensive financial review before delving into design concepts or soliciting contractor estimates is essential. By thoroughly assessing your finances and, if necessary, engaging with a lender, you set the stage for clear and precise discussions. Understanding your financial resources upfront is paramount, as it ensures that project decisions are aligned with your budgetary constraints. Ultimately, project feasibility hinges not only on design aesthetics or estimated costs but also on the availability of funds to support the endeavor. Taking proactive steps to address financial considerations early on saves time and allows for more informed decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
How long does the whole architecture and permit process take?
As a standard practice, we advise all clients to allocate 2-3 months for the architectural phase and an additional 2-3 months for permitting. Projects of smaller scale typically require around 4 months, while larger endeavors may extend to 6 months. Establishing these expectations upfront is crucial, as it allows our design team to deliver a high-quality product while affording the municipality ample time for review. It's important to note that if special approvals, such as variances, are needed, the municipality's lead time may further extend. By proactively setting these timelines, we ensure a smooth and efficient project progression, ultimately leading to successful outcomes
